What is the difference: European Doctorate and International MMD PhD Certificate?

European Doctorate highlights European collaboration and has specific rules and requirements:

  • Three months internship is done without interruption (i.e. minimum 90 days continuously) and it is carried out at another European university
  • Professors or experts from European universities are required to be a part of the PhD defence committee
  • Defending PhD within standard period of study i.e. within 4+1 year

International MMD PhD Certificate is broader and more relaxed in conditions:

  • Three months abroad can be combined from more shorter stays, at minimum one of the stays is required to be 30 days without interruption.
  • Intership(s) are not limited to Europe
  • Committee for PhD defence can include international experts and professors from any institutions and countries around the world
